This unit was $36 and delivers what I was looking for in my 15' INTEX pool. I've finally vacuumed off my pool after a month of accumulated silt that the standard hose/bag vacuum couldn't pick up.1. The parts fit together just as instructed and are easy to handle... it's no more difficult than my filter, saltwater treatment unit, or surface skimmer.2. The quality is what I'd expect for $36 and consistent with the construction of parts for my pool, but shows no sign of being overly flimsy.3. The threads for the middle filter line attachment were a little touchy the first time I used it, but I worked through it and now it goes on easliy.4. You have to go slowly as the vacuum power is limited to the strength of your filter GPH rating... don't expect to use this like a Hoover on carpet, it's just not designed for that.5. I had to go through my pool twice the first time I used it... the filter just got too overloaded and not all the silt was caught up in the filter then blown back in the pool... which is not this unit's problem.6. The only real pain in the kiester is having to disconnect the hose in the pool, while maintining the hose underwater so it won't suck air into the operating filter, and lifting the front end filter/sucking unit out of the pool at the same time so all that particulate matter won't fall back into the pool... I'd suggest having whomever is actually using the pool on a regular basis there to hold down the hose underwater while you clean out the net/filter in the bag regularly through your vacuuming. On another note, I'd suggest that if there is a pretty visible amount of silt on the bottom of the pool, before you use this unit,1. Broom the bottom of your pool the day before you vacuum, so you aren't contending with trying to 'scrub' the bottom of the pool when you're vacuuming;2. Take your filter and hose it out;3. When you're done vacuuming your pool, repeat hosing out the filter as you now have a filter full of gunk from your pool.I also really appreciate the suggestion toThis is the second of these pumps I have purchased. They definitely do the job. This version with the screw-on top is terrific. I will say that if the pool pump is not strong enough for the volume of water in the pool, the suction will not be adequate, but that is not a fault of the vacuum itself. I upgraded my pool pump and the vac works as it should. Very easy to assemble, fast & easy to use, easy to clean.Be sure to prime the hose and pump in order for it to suction as it should! Great product for my Coleman above ground pool!I have been using this product for about 2 months now and I couldn't be happier. It does a great job of picking up leaves as well as small particles from the bottom of the pool. I vacuum our pool once or twice per week and it has remained almost spotless. As with any other product made from plastic you have to BE CAREFUL. I read reviews before purchasing and saw that many folks complained of breaking the product. It doesn't require any force to move across the pool floor and when removing the head and filter bag simply use caution. Don't twist it hard or in the wrong direction and it will be fine. Also, make sure the hose is full of water (completely full) before using. Once the vacuum is hooked up and the pump turned on you should have the normal flow of water coming from the return. The bag is small but still holds quite a bit of debris. As with anything else related to your pool you have to use this product regularly - I think some of the negative reviews also result from excessing amounts of debris at the bottom of the pool. Regular maintenance with this product and your pool should remain debris free. Here are a few tips that I have found to be very effective. a) I have the last person out of the pool do about 10 laps around to create the "whirlpool" effect before exiting the pool. This puts all of the debris in this neat little pile at the center of the pool making vacuuming easy. b) While the person is lapping the pool have them hold the hose under water and facing forward. This quickly fills the hose completely with water and ensures you get maximum pumping power. c) If I'm vacuuming with no one available to make the whirlpool I simply submerge the hose and walk around the outside of the pool to fill the hose - main message here is fill it with water!I use this vacuum with my 2500 gph intex pool pump - I also use it with the small 530 gph intex pool pump (my inlaws - I vacuum theirs each week as well) and it works great with either set up. Main thing that I cannot stress enough is to get the hose completely filled with water. Make sure you hook it to the vacuum while it's submerged. I hope this helps you make an informed decision. Happy vacuuming! A+ product - would definitely buy again! It's really worth taking the time to scour these reviews and YouTube and the internet to find out how to work this thing properly, and to get a reasonable expectation of what it can do and not do.I had a hell of a time trying to figure out how to attach this initially to our pool but eventually figured it out. (For a Bestways 12' x 30" pool, you need to remove the tiny screws on the cover to the filter strainer. Once that is done, the strainer unscrews and the bottom section can be attached to the proper fitting for the vacuum.)Once the coupling is set, it pays to first attach the assembly to the output of the filter to allow the hose and the vacuum to fill completely with water. Knock the vacuum on the floor of the pool several times to dislodge as much air as possible; then, keeping the attachment under water, move it over to the intake of the pool. It should now start sucking water (slowly) through the vacuum. Cleaning a 12" diamater pool can take me over 30 minutes. This thing works, and will suck up all the detritus that sinks to the bottom of the pool that is too fine for the skimmer net, including sand, BUT you have to go very slowly. I find it does a better job of sucking stuff up when I pull the vacuum toward me along the bottom of the pool then when I push forward. But go slowly, and you will be rewarded with a clean pool. Eventually.A lot of thought went into the engineering and design of this vacuum. It came with many different attachment options for connecting hose to skimmer or in my case round suction grille on sidewall of pool liner. The head on most pool vacuums is too large which in turn reduces water velocity through the head which translates into less suction. This unit has a cleanable filter bag to catch loose debris and anything that makes it through the bag is then captured by the pool sand filter. My only suggestions would be for the vacuum hose to be a little more heavy duty and the telescoping pole needs another 15 inches of length to be able to reach the centre of a 16 ft. diameter pool. The vacuum is great for the size of our pool. We has a 14' circular pool and 48"h. It does a good job getting sand out of the pool, that our kids dumped in.This is a number 1 purchase. The vaccuum works tremendously better than the previous 4 styles I have tried AND very easy to clean out debris/bugs from the vaccuum before it gets to your pump filter. Perfect in every way, that I can think of...so easy to use.lo conecto a la depuradora bestway que compré y se "come" todas las impurezas visibles del fondo, almacenándolas en su bolsita interna. Luego saco la bolsita, la lavo y lista para volver a filtrar.Does not work with my Intex pool pump
